MANAGER John Pemberton was left understandably disappointed with his team’s FA Cup exit at Stafford Rangers, writes Elliot Ball.
Following the 3-0 defeat, the boss felt the first half cost his side the tie after two mistakes led to the opening goals.
He gave the hosts their due, though, saying: “Fair credit to Stafford they played really well, showed a lot of spirit and we couldn’t quite get to grips with it first half.
“The second half was better, but the damage had already been done by then.
“We played Stafford…. over two legs we weren’t good enough, and the buck stops with me.
“In the second half we’ve had a go but in the first half we made two mistakes which has cost us the game.”
