RUSS Penn says Harriers are setting their sights firmly on success in this season’s FA Trophy.
The Reds enter the competition at the Third Qualifying Round stage this weekend with a trip to league rivals Curzon Ashton.
Harriers may well be in non-league’s second tier, but that isn’t stopping the team wanting to do good things.
Aggborough Assistant boss Penn spoke to our YouTube channel and said there’s nothing should stand in the way of those ambitions.
He said: “It’s massive, and we’ll be taking it very seriously – why wouldn’t you?
“It doesn’t hamper your season; all of the fixtures are on a Saturday.
“We won’t be resting anyone and we’ll be going there to get a victory and get into the next round.”
Harriers are former winners of the Trophy and are multi-time finalists.
Getting anywhere near that stage again will take some doing, not least with Curzon up first on the back of a win over league leaders York City.
Penn insists, however, that the business end of the competition will remain the motivation for everyone at the club.
“I’ve got to the Final of this competition – it’s a great competition and a great day out at Wembley,” he added.
“That’s the little carrot we’ll all be playing for.”
