HARRIERS are delighted to confirm another big success for its Academy system after signing young striker Ethan Freemantle to an 18-month contract.
Ethan has been a big part of our performances over the past few weeks and had established himself a place within the first-team squad.
It comes after a successful period for him with our U23s age group, where he helped them to title success last term.
The 19-year old made two starts and two further sub appearances during the busy festive period, and has been rewarded with a first professional contract which runs until the summer of 2021.
Everyone at Aggborough is delighted for Ethan while also being happy to be able to secure the services for the longer term of a player we feel has a very bright future.
“It’s a very proud moment for me to sign my first contract with the club. Ethan Freemantle
Speaking about the deal to our YouTube channel, Ethan commented: “I’ve worked hard…and kept pushing – I’ve had set-backs, like any young footballer has, but the rewards are starting to show themselves now.
“It’s a very proud moment for me to sign my first contract with the club. It has been a long journey, but a very enjoyable one.
“Kidderminster offer a good pathway for young players coming through. Coming here from Walsall after getting released was tough, but I’ve found somewhere I can enjoy my football.”
We’ll hear from Jimmy Shan on Ethan’s progress and deal later, but the player’s thoughts are available below:
