HARRIERS will be working to aid two local charitable organisations at the club’s next home game.
In conjunction with the Harriers Fan Club, we’re staging a collection for Kidderminster Foodbank.
In the latest of a number of community-driven initiatives from the club this season, we’re appealing for any and all donations you may have from around the home in readiness for the collection at the Darlington game on Saturday, 8 February 2020.
These items will be delivered directly to the Foodbank, which is based at Baxter Church Hall in Kidderminster’s Bull Ring and has been providing food for individuals and families in crisis for a number of years.
Interested in donating food or household items? The Foodbank website has a useful list of items of which they’re in particular need.
On behalf of the Fan Club we’d particularly, in advance, like to thank Mr and Mrs Markley, for kick-starting the collection with three cases of food.
Also at the Darlington game, there will be a collection for St Basil’s, who provide accommodation and support services for 16-25 year-olds in the local area who are homeless, or are at risk of being homeless.
Harriers Commercial Manager Paul Biggerstaff said today: “The response we’ve had to the community-focused initiatives we’ve promoted so far has been really encouraging.
“As a club we have a responsibility to all members of the community, and we’re both proud and fortunate to have a fan base that gets right behind that.”
Please, where you can, please give generously to both causes.
