ASHLEY Hemmings insists Harriers players are “pushing each other on” in an effort to improve in the second half of the season.

The former Boston United winger returns to his former club on Saturday with four goals to his name so far this season.

Despite the team’s relatively inconsistent form, the 28-year-old admitted he’s improved as a player during his short time at Aggborough.

So while he accepts he’d like to perform well in front of some old friends and familiar faces on Saturday, it’s a determination within the Aggborough dressing room that drives him.

“Of course, I’d want to do well, but that’s the same for me in any game,” commented the former Wolves man.

“I want to be one of the best on the pitch and be creating stuff.

“The boys make me train better and play better and we are all pushing each other on.

“We have good players in the team and we’re confident, and confident in the way we play.”

Saturday’s trip to Boston is the first of consecutive away games for Harriers. They travel to league leaders King’s Lynn Town next weekend (1st February) before returning to Aggborough to welcome Darlington (8th).
