The points were shared at Aggborough on Saturday as Harriers drew 1-1 with Darlington.
Will Hatfield’s stunning long-range effort opened the scoring for the away side on 57 minutes, but Alex Prosser equalised – on the volley – three minutes later.
Prosser was at the centre of the action as Harriers bossed the opening 20 minutes, the midfielder having three efforts at goal – the latter two saved smartly by Darlo keeper Liam Connell – before Milan Butterfield bent an effort inches wide of the target.
The away side took until first half stoppage time to have their first effort at goal, Stephen Thompson firing an effort down the throat of Will Mannion.
The second half began with huge chance as Sam Austin raced through, squaring unselfishly for Ed Williams, but the ball got stuck under his feet and his eventual shot was hooked clear from the goal-line.
Hatfield then opened the scoring, the goal coming moments after Josef Wheatley forced a fine block from Rhys Williams at close range.
Prosser equalised soon afterwards, and Harriers had a huge chance to win it minutes from the end as Milan Butterfield plays a superb ball through for Correy Davidson, but his low shot was saved by Connell.
