Saturday: Leamington v Harriers

We look ahead to Saturday’s trip to Leamington…

HARRIERS travel to Leamington tomorrow looking to record back-to-back wins for the first time this season and at the tenth time of asking.

The Reds were worthy 2-1 winners at Southport a week ago, and will try to back that up against Paul Holleran’s charges.

Winning consecutively in the National League North this term has thus far eluded the men from Aggborough, with either a defeat or draw following each of their previous nine wins to date.

Changing that won’t be easy at Leamington, who boast an experienced, enthusiastic squad assembled by arguably the most wily of all of the league’s Managers.

What’s more, Saturday’s hosts are looking to get back into a rhythm of form themselves, having struggled for results since the turn of the year. They were downed 3-0 at Guiseley last time out, with Russ Penn warning they’ll be like “a wounded lion” on Saturday.

Harriers, the boss says, will travel with a fully-fit squad ahead of the game, with Declan Weeks having successfully completed his return from a lengthy injury in the Southport win.

New signing, Jim Kellermann, is available to feature if selected.

Kick-off at Leamington is at 3pm.

The National League confirmed on Friday that all of the weekend’s games will take place.

Harriers would like to encourage all supporters to travel and support the boys in their quest for three points.

However, we’d also remind fans to be minded of Government health advice, and to only travel if they feel well enough to do so.
