HARRIERS head north in search of their first National League North points of the season at Darlington on Tuesday.

The Reds are yet to get off the mark after defeat in Tuesday’s opener against Chester, but came within a whisker of a share of the spoils at Aggborough.

Taking the positives from that performance, Russ Penn’s Reds head to Blackwell Meadows determined to get something on the board.

Ashley Hemmings spoke ahead of the game, saying: “That’s the aim now, going away on Saturday and getting those three points.

“We always go out to win, that’s the main thing, and when that doesn’t happen you’ve got to stay positive.

“With the group we’ve got, we’re all positive and the staff and everyone is close together.

“Every game in this league is going to be hard and be a challenge, but if we stick to our game and do what we’ve got to do, it will take care of itself.

“Three points is a big confidence boost and everyone needs that…” Ashley Hemmings

“Three points is a big confidence boost and everyone needs that – I’m sure it will come and, this Saturday, that is the only thing we’re going for.”

Boss Russ Penn remains without a number of players heading into the clash – Luke Maxwell, Jim Kellermann and Cliff Moyo have all yet to feature so far this term due to injuries.

Amari Morgan-Smith is eligible to feature before commencing a two-match suspension for his sending off against Chester.

Our hosts were also beaten on Tuesday night, going down to a 1-0 defeat to AFC Fylde -days after progressing in the FA Cup on penalties against Prescot Cables.
