Darlington game off

Postponement at Aggborough…

Aggborough Stadium

WE’RE disappointed to report that our home match with Darlington has been postponed.

Considerable effort has been made throughout the week to protect the pitch, with everyone at Aggborough keen to play on and get the season back on track.

Despite this, while large parts of the pitch are in good condition having been undercover for some time, an area at the South end of the pitch was unable to be passed by a match official this afternoon.

With no prospect in a significant rise in temperatures before Saturday’s kick off, the match was postponed and will be re-arranged in due course.

Boss Russ Penn said: “You couldn’t write it… we’ve planned all week to face a good Darlington team tomorrow.

“It’s the sensible decision but… in the last six weeks, we’ve had three games where we’ve had to cancel the day before because of the weather.

“Disappointing is an understatement but we’ll dust ourselves off and prepare for Guiseley because, with all the unknown at the moment, that’s all we can do.”
