PRE-SEASON gets underway on Tuesday night as a Harriers XI travel to near neighbours Stourport Swifts. (7:45pm).

Boss Russ Penn will oversee a mixture of promising U23s players and a crop currently on trial at Aggborough for the fixture at Walshes Meadow.

The clash, he says, provides a key opportunity for all to impress, and the gaffer told he is looking forward to the meeting.

“We’ve got some good trialists [and] we are still looking for our squad to be filled, so that’s important for them,” he said.

“The young lads and U23s who we’ve got training with us are pushing them as well, so I am really looking forward to it.

“Stourport have always looked after us and there’s a good link between the football clubs.”

The Swifts got their pre-season campaign underway this past weekend with an impressive victory over Stourbridge.

A goal in each half was enough to secure a 2-1 win over Mark Yates’ men.

Stourport have confirmed admission on Tuesday night will be £8 adults, and £4 for over 60s. Those under the age of 16 are admitted free with an adult.

Kick off is 7:45pm.
