We’re pleased to confirm details for our first set of Academy open trials ahead of the 2022/23 season!

For students aged 16-23 during the next academic year, trials are now open for our boys and girls U19s and U23s full time football and education programmes.

Harriers have a proven pathway from Academy to first team football, as demonstrated several times during recent years.

Alongside several players that have moved on to play at higher levels, there are currently four Academy graduates holding full time first team Harriers contracts – Ethan Freemantle, Jaiden White, Tom Palmer and Kai Lissimore.

Ethan Freemantle progressed through the U23s Foundation Degree programme, signing his first contract in January 2020, and is now a regular within the first team.

Jaiden White joined Harriers’ U19s programme having previously played for Wolves and Coventry City, and has been with the first team for several seasons having signed his first team contract soon after his 17th birthday ahead of the 2019/20 season.

Tom Palmer has been in the first team picture for over five years following his time in the U19s programme, and is now also Harriers Academy’s goalkeeping coach.

Kai Lissimore is the most recent example having impressed within our U19s programme and impressing while with the first team during the 2021/22 pre-season, earning a two-year professional contract.

This is thanks to the qualifications on offer – delivered in partnership with Kidderminster College and University of Worcester – being incredibly versatile and suitable for the needs of our students and players, ensuring the best balance of football and education is struck to allow all to thrive.
