HARRIERS look to follow-up their weekend win over Bradford (Park Avenue) when they travel to Chorley on Tuesday night.
The Reds were convincing 5-1 winners over Avenue at Aggborough, but now face an entirely different task.
Quite the contrast to a Saturday afternoon on home soil, Penn’s men are charged with a journey to one of the division’s most historically tough venues in Victory Park.
Harriers won their last season, but this represented the first time they’d ever done so in regular league action.
Tonight’s task is also made harder by the fact the Magpies are on a seven-game unbeaten league run.
That stretch includes the 9-1 whipping of Gloucester and a fine 4-1 victory against Chester.
“It’s a big game because it’s the next one,” said the Harriers boss.
“It’s a wet, windy night in Chorley, under the lights, and we have to be prepared for that.
“But we have to take confidence from [Saturday] and [were] right back at it on Monday.”
Harriers have new signing Nick Clayton-Phillips available after his return to the club on Monday.
Fellow new recruit, Elliot Bonds, made his debut for the team in Saturday’s victory, brought on to replace Mark Carrington.
Of the veteran, Penn joked: “We’ve got to save his legs as he’s not getting any younger!
“Elliot came on and was disciplined, he got the blood flowing through the legs and he’s going to be ready going into Tuesday.”
Kick-off at Chorley is at 7:45pm.
