Penn’s pride for Penny form

A look ahead to your FA Cup match day programme for Saturday’s Grimsby clash…

Alex Penny is featured in Saturday's match day programme.

RUSS Penn has hailed Alex Penny’s recent form following his goal and Man of the Match display against Spennymoor Town last week.

Penny has had to bide his time this season but looks comfortable in the eleven just now, his eye-catching display last weekend playing a big part in the 4-0 win.

The defender is the subject of a feature piece in Saturday’s FA Cup programme against Grimsby, which features thoughts from the gaffer and Penny himself.

“He was very disappointed at the start of the season not to have the starting spot,” Penn says.

“Being the true professional that he is, he has stuck at it.

“He has got his chance and has taken it, and I’m delighted for him.”

The full feature is available to read in Saturday’s issue, along with a whole host of other great content.

You’ll find extensive coverage of our recent matches with reports and photos, an update from the gaffer, plus news from our Community and Women.

There’s opposition coverage on Grimsby, our half-time quiz and all the stats and facts form the season you can handle.

The issue is on sale throughout the ground and in the Club Shop for £3
