A MUCH-CHANGED Harriers side were beaten 2-0 at Leamington on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Brakes enjoyed the best of an entirely disjointed game that saw both teams make sweeping changes, a total of 18 across both starting elevens.
The hosts had the lead on just five minutes. Geraldo Bajrami’s headed clearance got what looked to be more than enough distance to take it away from danger, but former Harrier Callum Gittings sent it right back that way and into the net with an outrageous drive from 35 yards.
Leamington might have had a second six minutes later, but Luke Simpson was determined not to be beaten from distance twice, and met Kieran Cook’s arrowed effort with a good stop.
That was, in all honesty, the biggest share of the day’s goalmouth acti0n until Leamington notched their second, Manny Olaloko showing great composure in the area before sliding the ball into the back of the net.
Harriers best chance came deep in injury time at the end of the game when Lewis Montrose saw a header tipped over the bar.
