Harriers Women appoint new boss

New Manager appointed for Harriers Women…

New Harriers Women Manager Dave Healey

HARRIERS Women will tackle the new season with a new Manager following the appointment of Dave Healey at the club.

Dave is formerly the Manager of Solihull Moors’ Women’s side as well as having had experience at Wem Women and here at Aggborough as part of the coaching staff within our Girls Academy.

“I am really pleased,” said Dave.

“I see Kidderminster as a tier three side. That’s something we’ll be looking [to do], to get this side to tier three in the next three to five years.

“I won’t take anything for granted. Tier five is going to be extremely tough next season.

“We’d won the County Cup and got into the League Cup final so they’ve had a fantastic season, so can we build on that.”

Dave, who replaces Mark Taylor who managed the team last season, will be charged with helping build on last term’s mid-table finish in the West Midlands Regional League, a first term following promotion.

2022/23 will be a season of transition for Harriers Women following the departures of Malcolm and Sally Cowell, who reformed the club’s female set-up in 2016 and enjoyed several successful seasons as an integral part of the side.

We thank Malcolm, Sally and Mark for all their efforts working with Harriers Women and wish them well for the future.

The new Women’s season may be a while away yet, but keep your eyes peeled on social media for news of new signings and pre-friendlies soon.
