KIDDERMINSTER Harriers Football Club is a family club that prides itself on a tradition of offering all fans a warm welcome and safe, enjoyable environment to watch football.
We are also proud that the vast majority of our loyal fan base does – and always has – enjoyed the action at Aggborough, and when following the team on the road, safely and responsibly. Unfortunately, the actions of a small minority of fans have undermined that reputation with antisocial behaviour, particularly away from home.
To assure supporters that we have a zero tolerance for antisocial behaviour of any kind either at Aggborough or any other stadium where our supporters are present, we have taken the following measures over the last year:
- The installation of a new Safety and Security team at the Club.
- Upgraded CCTV which allows HD images to be viewed and downloaded for evidential purposes.
- Increased crowd searching to help prevent banned articles from being brought into the ground including flares and alcohol etc
- Handed banning orders to five individuals identified for unacceptable behaviour.
- Strengthened the working relationship and communications with West Mercia Police including the sharing of information of offences and individuals.
By entering any stadium to watch Harriers, supporters agree and consent to the National League’s Ground Regulations, which covers antisocial behaviour.
Furthermore, as part of a nationwide clampdown on unacceptable behaviour, The FA have asked clubs to take even more responsibly for and action against poor conduct by supporters and will in turn take action against those clubs failing to do so.
To protect itself, the club will seek to take the strongest possible action to tackle behaviour that threatens to damage its reputation and leaves it pen to such FA action. Where appropriate we will push for temporary or lifetime bans from Aggborough or all football stadiums, and even criminal prosecution.
Don’t take the risk – please support your team responsibly.
