HARRIERS head to AFC Fylde on Saturday as a fourth meeting of the season between the two takes place in the FA Trophy.
A brace of games in the FA Cup earlier in the term saw the Coasters edge out Harriers over the course of two matches, while there was nothing to separate the sides in a goalless league game at Aggborough.
The next clash takes place at Mill Farm and will see a collision for a spot in Round Four of the Isuzu FA Trophy.
The game is a first for Harriers since the 7th December defeat to Chester, while the Coasters haven’t played since their win over Gloucester a few days prior.
With the added spice of it being a Trophy tie that will be settled on the day, Russ Penn is excited for the trip.
He explained: “It’s a 90-minute game on Saturday, no more, no less.
“We’re going to try and do our best to, first and foremost, be competitive and stay in the game, and when we get our chances, take them.
“The aim on Saturday is to be in the hat on Monday, so we’ll do everything we can to do that.
“We’ll go up there, we have a couple of bodies back and we’ll be reenergised after a ten-day break.”
Penn confirmed earlier this week that Shane Byrne should be available for selection on Saturday.
Striker Ethan Freemantle is still being assessed after suffering a concussion against Alfreton Town, while Zak Brown has recovered from the knock that forced his early withdrawal against Chester.
It has been a changeable season for both of these two teams, with plenty happening at Aggborough and Mill Farm over the course of the three meetings thus far.
Harriers have battled through a near unprecedented period of injury and illness, while Adam Murray will become the third Fylde Manager of the season to take on the Reds.
Twice a Harriers midfielder himself, Murray assumed the role there weeks ago following spells in the Fylde dugout for James Rowe and Andy Taylor this term.
The Harriers boss added of this weekend’s game: “Like I said, there’s no extra time and no replays… we’ll give it our all and it’s two good teams going at it.
“It’s two good teams going at it and we’ve played them four times as of Saturday!
“We’ll go up there and we’re looking forward to it.”
Fans should note that a pitch inspection will take place at 9am on Saturday morning at AFC Fylde. Should the pitch be passed, the game will kick off at the slightly later time of 4pm.
