Harriers focus on Tuesday night clash against Chester at Aggborough…

HARRIERS will aim to quickly get back to winning ways on Tuesday night as they host Chester at Aggborough.

The National League North clash comes on the back of a disappointing night on Friday, with the Reds beaten 2-0 at leaders Scunthorpe.

Now, the task is to take points from a Chester side who will come full of confidence following a successful weekend of their own.

The Seals lost their first couple of matches of the North campaign but have swiftly clicked into gear afterward with three wins from the following four.

A 2-0 win over Radcliffe was followed up by a 2-2 draw at Alfreton, before a brace of victories over Scarborough Athletic and Peterborough Sports.

The latter, this past Saturday, was an emphatic success secured thanks to goals from Charlie Caton, Harrison Burke and Tom Peers.

With a spring in their step, Chester now come to DY10 no doubt looking to continue that winning run of form, while Harriers will want to maintain an unbeaten start to the campaign on their own patch.

“Chester will come here, have a look at the conditions and want to play, there’s absolutely no doubt about it,” Phil Brown commented ahead of the tie.

“We’ve addressed that with regards to the three home games we’ve had.

“It’s not going to be easy, we’re on the back of a defeat [but] we’ve got to dust ourselves down and get on with it.

“Nicely enough, the next game is at Aggborough against a team that is going to be up there for the rest of the season, hopefully alongside us.”

Kick off at Aggborough on Tuesday night is at 7:45pm.
