Extended Aggborough terms for Devine…

REECE Devine will be staying with Harriers beyond this season after penning a new contract with the club.

Former Wolves and Man United youngster Reece joined Harriers in the summer having left Swindon Town.

After biding his time to break into Phil Brown’s outfit, he enjoyed a run of starts heading into November and scored in the FA Trophy win over Halesowen at Aggborough before picking up an injury.

He returned to the squad earlier in December, however, and now has 14 appearances to his name this season, his form earning him fresh terms that keep him in DY10 until at least the summer of 2026.

Manager Phil Brown said: “When you get rewarded with new contracts, it’s because you’ve been doing a good job.

“Reece, since he’s been here, has set an example in pre-season in terms of the physicality side of it, he’s set an example on the technical side… he’s ticked all the boxes, and long may that continue.

“I think he can play at a higher level, and that’s just a technical question mark I always say about players, if I’m bringing in someone who’s young enough: ‘Will he be able to go the next level, and the level after that?’

“I think Reece Devine is one of them.”

Congratulations, Reece!
