A look to Saturday’s National League North test against Warrington…

HARRIERS will aim to put right a bad day – or half – at the office on Saturday when they meet Warrington Town at Aggborough.
The Reds meet Warrington in DY10 in the reverse of an August fixture that saw Town come away with all three points.
The defeat for Harriers ended a three-match winning run, and Phil Brown is eager to correct that, not so much because of the result, but for the second-half showing that caused it.
“It’s a score to settle, to a certain extent,” the boss explained.
“We didn’t really turn up in the second half at Warrington away, and it was our first defeat of the season.
“It shows you what this league does to you – if you don’t turn up and play, and wear out the opposition where the physical side of the game is concerned… all of these things are in play from minute one, and they certainly were in the Warrington game away from home.
“Having said that, we went a goal ahead and consequently lost the game 2-1, so that is still in my mind as a score to settle, but it’s not one of them where it’s because we lost at Warrington, it’s just that I thought we didn’t turn up, we didn’t show up that day, and Saturday is about showing up.”
Saturday’s visitors knocked off Buxton in National League North before Christmas but have suffered defeat in the three games that have followed since.
That said, they sit four clear of the division’s bottom four with 24 points to their name and will come to Aggborough eager to secure a six-point haul at the Reds’ expense over the course of the campaign.
Brown added that Kam Kandola will be assessed going into this weekend’s game with the hope of possibly being involved after missing the Tuesday win over Scarborough.
Alex Penny and Luke Summerfield remain out longer term, while Ben Beresford is set for a further scan at Birmingham City to determine when he can return to the training field with Harriers, with a January comeback now unlikely.
The Manager’s full pre-match interview is available to view below now, and kick off at Aggborough on Saturday is at 3:00pm.
