Saturday: Southport v Harriers

All you need to know ahead of this weekend…

HARRIERS head to in-form Southport on Saturday looking to build on success in the FA Trophy last time out.

The Reds triumphed 3-0 over Corby Town in the Trophy at Aggborough – Southport battling their way to a terrific 3-2 success at Buxton on the same afternoon.

The Sandgrounders are emerging as a tough nut to crack after a challenging start to the season saw them struggling near the foot of the table. They lost five of their opening eight league games – including defeats at Merthyr Town, Worksop Town and Scarborough Athletic – before grinding out a 0-0 home stalemate with leaders South Shields in September.

In recent weeks they’ve improved further and are now on a run of five games unbeaten, their Trophy win at Buxton adding to draws against King’s Lynn and Chester, and victories over Hereford and Buxton (league).

Harriers’ own form is building nicely but will be firmly tested on Saturday, not least with the news that Jack Clarke is likely to join a growing injury list at Aggborough.

The midfielder is struggling with an ankle problem while David Davis, Reece Hall, Dan Mooney, Peirce Bird and Alex Penny have all missed game time with injuries of varying severity recently.

Adam Murray’s latest pre-match interview ahead of the weekend is available to watch now:

Kick off on Saturday at Southport is at 3pm.

Harriers fans can purchase tickets for the game in advance by using Southport’s ticketing website.

SUPPORTER CONDUCT

We would like to reinforce our message on supporter conduct

Supporters currently subject to a banning order from Aggborough Stadium should be aware that host clubs may choose to extend this ban to their own premises. In that instance, fans should not attempt to purchase a ticket and/or enter on the day as they will be denied entry.

Harriers again strongly supports The National League and Football Association in delivering their antisocial conduct message.

Please review the following information before visiting Aggborough or following the team on the road, and remember that your entry into Aggborough Stadium, or any other venue, is subject to the acceptance of the National League’s Ground regulations and adherence to the Smoke No Joke policy. Both documents are clearly visible and available on entry turnstiles but are also available for download below.

Specifically, we would like to remind supporters that the club will not tolerate supporter misconduct of any kind. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Discriminatory behaviour. This means conduct or language that is aggravated by ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, faith, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation or disability.
  • Entering the field of play or its immediate surrounding area without permission
  • The throwing of missiles towards the pitch, technical area or dugout
  • The possession or use of pyrotechnics such as flares or smoke bombs

Please support Kidderminster Harriers responsibility. Should you be concerned by any of the above conduct you may witness, please report it to your nearest steward at any venue, to the Club Office or Safety Officer or by e-mail to security@harriers.co.uk
