Academy: Remodelled Under-18s Girls Programme

HARRIERS’ Academy’s Under-18s Girls Programme has been remodelled to strengthen the pathway into Women’s First Team football.

The club is pleased to announce a remodelling of the Under-18s programme, designed to further strengthen the development pathway for young female footballers progressing towards senior women’s football.

Competing in the JPL Warriors league, the revamped structure will provide players with an environment that mirrors the expectations of senior football, while remaining aligned with the club’s Youth EDS development module (Under-14s-Under-16s).

The programme will include three weekly training interactions alongside a Saturday matchday, ensuring players receive consistent and structured development throughout the season.

Each interaction will take place in Kidderminster, with a comprehensive development model delivered as a team, consisting of:

• On-grass technical and tactical training
• Performance analysis sessions
• Strength and conditioning in the gym

Sessions will win as a hybrid schedule of evening and daytime training, adapting throughout the year depending on the time of season, and player commitments.

The aim of the remodelled programme is to support young female players for longer within the club’s development system, creating a clear bridge between Under-18s football, and opportunities within the Women’s First Team.

The programme will be led by full-time and senior coaching staff, working closely together to continue developing the next generation of players. The club hopes to see more young players progress through the pathway and follow in the footsteps of Molly Bubb and EJ, who have successfully advanced within the programme.

Players must:

• Be eligible to compete at Under-18 level.
• Be committed to attending all programme interactions where possible, in order to maximise both individual and team development.

The Under-18s programme will operate as a subscription-based team, with a monthly charge in place to support the delivery of coaching, facilities and performance support.
