Young front man Thompson, 21, is local to Harriers and spent time in the Aston Villa Academy as a youth, before spells at Liverpool and Derby.

He’s also featured for Leicester and most, recently, Burnley. He left the Turf Moor outfit after a busy 2022-23 season of Academy football, and spent time with Macclesfield earlier this campaign to maintain his readiness.
