Late goal stuns Harriers at Nuneaton

Injury-time winner steals a point from reds…

Dan Nti

An injury-time winner for Nuneaton stole a deserved first point of the season for Harriers who fell to a 1-0 defeat.

An end-t0-end affair saw Nuneaton boss much of the first half while Harriers controlled the second.

Ashley Chambers and Jordan Nicholson perhaps should have had the home side in front before the break while Dan Nti’s rising shot also forced a save from stopper Dean Lyness.

The reds were stronger after the break and through Nti they went close, while Liam Daly came into action with a great last-ditch clearance to deny Boro.

Inside the last 15 minutes substitute Dan Bradley went within inches of a goal on his return but drove a good, low shot just past the upright.

Boro had the last laugh when Chambers tucked home from inside the area.
