New Harriers defender Fraser Horsfall stressed the need to be more clinical in front of goal following the draw with Curzon Ashton, but says the team will take the positives from the night as they prepare for Southport this weekend.
Harriers had the lion’s share of chances in the first half and netted through Ryan Croasdale’s goal first goal of the season.
Having been forced to make do with a share of the spoils, the man on loan from Huddersfield Town has set his sights on Saturday’s trip to Southport as the team look for more points.
“We passed it really well, they [Curzon] haven’t been able to touch us first half,” Horsfall reflected.
“We’re just struggling to get a couple of goals and take our chances.
“I think we just need a bit more luck.
“We were 1-0 up so it’s natural to sit back and try to defend but I think we need to keep going forward.
“Hopefully the chances will come and we will take them.
“They [Curzon Ashton] were a good test, but I still think we should have got something out of the game.
“We need to go into the next game now taking all of the positives from it, and hopefully we will get the win.”
