League News: Ferriby first to go down

News from the league as Ferriby go down despite a big result…

North Ferriby United main stand

NORTH FERRIBY became the first team in the National League structure to be relegated on Tuesday night, but they did so on something of a high.

United have endured something of a luckless campaign at step two – picking up just a couple of victories for a hard season’s work.

Their drop was confirmed after they failed to beat league leaders Salford City but, in the context of their season, Ferriby are actually going down in reasonably good form.

After picking up just one win between last August and February 2018, they’ve now lost just one game in the last four – including Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against Salford that saw them net an 86th minute equaliser.

Harriers travel to North Ferriby on April 21st.
