Assured Vaughan wins praise

He made his first Harriers start for four years – here’s the boss on Nathan Vaughan

John Eustace was impressed with the performance of goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan at North Ferriby United.

The shot-stopper, who rejoined the club several weeks ago, made his first start for Harriers since 2014, near the end of his previous stint.

He was between the sticks for the 3-1 success, and was an assured figure throughout, marshalling the back-line and doing what was needed when called upon.

That didn’t go unnoticed, with Eustace saying: “I thought Nathan’s was terrific out there for us today, he did very well.

“He was composed and showed the experience he has. He’s been great to have around the place and it was important for him to get some time on the pitch.

“He showed we are able to rely on him and that’s very important. He led by example and I was really pleased.”
