THE Aggborough faithful can do their bit in Wednesday’s play-off Eliminator game against Bradford Park Avenue, says defender Fraser Horsfall.
Harriers meet Avenue for the second time in just a matter of days on Wednesday (2nd) to see who will go through to meet Brackley Town and battle it out for a place in this season’s final.
Advance sales of tickets at Aggborough have been strong as Harriers fans have stayed right behind their team to ensure there is a good atmosphere on the night.
That’s crucial for Horsfall who, like Harriers, featured in last season’s play-offs while on loan at Salford City.
“It should be a good event and a good game for everybody involved,” he told the official website.
“I was in the play-offs last year and I know what’s at stake, so I am looking forward to it and, hopefully, getting the results that would get us promoted.
“The crowd plays a big part – especially here at Aggborough…” Fraser Horsfall
“The crowd plays a big part – especially here at Aggborough – it’s a really good atmosphere when we’re playing and that spurs the lads on, which we need.”
Horsfall and Harriers have a huge task to negotiate on Wednesday evening. If successful, they are just two wins away from the National League.
The former Huddersfield man insisted: “That was my aim when I first came here and that’s all I’ve wanted – to get promoted.
“I think the way we’ve done it, getting into the play-offs, has been unbelievable and we’re not going to change anything.”
