Ed up for Harriers challenge

New signing “itching” to get going…

New Harriers man Ed Williams

New signing Ed Williams said that he is “itching” for the new season to start after sealing his move to Aggborough.

22 year-old Williams moves to Aggborough following three seasons with Gloucester City.

Upon signing his deal, Williams was pleased to get everything over the line and concentrate on the season ahead.

“Speaking to some of the staff here, they were all really welcoming,” admitted Williams.

“It’s been a long time coming to be honest, but I’m absolutely buzzing to get it over the line.

“It’s good to have a break but the season is getting closer now and I’m itching to get started.

“I’m looking forward to meeting all of the lads, and playing football football week in week out hopefully. Obviously, I’ve got to earn my place in the team first, but I’m looking forward to the challenge”.

Williams netted nine goals during the 2017/18 season for Gloucester in the National League South, but featured heavily during their previous two seasons in the National League North, and said that he is looking forward to the challenge ahead at Aggborough.

“There is a difference between the [National League] South and [National League] North, but the time I’ve spent in the North will be very valuable this year,” said Williams.

“Kidderminster is a really big club, and I wanted to come here and challenge myself.

“I’ve played in the National League North for a few years now and every time I’ve come here and played against Kidderminster, they’ve been a very good team and one of the best teams I’ve ever played against.”
