Supporters launch Harriers Fan Club…

Kidderminster Harriers have been asked to share the following by a group of supporters for the interest of the club’s wider fan-base:

We, a group of Kidderminster Harriers supporters, are pleased to announce the formation of a new Fan Club to help provide link between the club and its supporters.

While encouraged by the work the club itself has done in the community and via its own platforms to engage with the local public, we feel there is still more to be gained by having a more direct line of communication between the club, its Directors and staff, and those of us on the terraces.

The club have given our plans their blessing and offered, where possible, means of publicity. However, our activities are and must be independent of the club for the benefit of supporters in general. These shall include:

  • Attendance by Fan Club Members at all KHFC Board Meetings
  • Monthly Q&A sessions filmed with KHFC Chairman Colin Gordon and/or with Fan Club Members asking questions posed by fellow members and supporters.
  • A presence on the club’s website and match programme to promote events and build a ‘get to know’ relationship between fans and the club’s players and staff courtesy of features and interviews
  • Free membership of the Fan Club to all Harriers supporters – giving them the opportunity to play an active part

We would urge all Kidderminster Harriers fans to take up the opportunity of FREE membership to the Fan Club and to help further build what is the most important relationship in all of football- between a club and its fans. This is particularly important at what is clearly one of the most important periods in the club’s history.

Membership forms will be available on the turnstiles at Tuesday’s first home game of the season against AFC Telford, for collection at the Club and on the club’s website in due course. We would like to hear from any Harriers fans interested in taking an active role. If you would like to contact the Fan Club for further details, you can do so by using the e-mail kindly supplied to us by the club,

Initial Liaison for KHFC Board Meetings: David Holdsworth
Treasurer: Alison Holdsworth
Communications: Scott Jones/Nick Haycox
Events: Norman White
Additional founding Member: Pat O’Boyle

While appreciating their independence as an operation separate to Kidderminster Harriers, the club welcomes the formation of the Fan Club and looks forward to an active, open and honest relationship with them going forward. We would urge anyone with questions or comments to either contact the Chairman or Club directly – as they have always been welcome to do – or to contact one of the Fan Club.
