Ladies win at Redditch

Harriers complete pre-season with win…

Harriers Ladies completed their pre season campaign with a victory against Redditch United Ladies.

The match took place on Sunday at The Trico Stadium, and it was the away side that found the net first.

A good passing move created an opening for Kirsty Roberts to shoot from edge of box, firing past the goal keeper and in to the top corner.

It was to be the only goal of the half, and Harriers doubled their lead after the restart as a trialist made her way in to the box, finishing into the bottom corner.

The third Harriers goal followed as left back Beth Dutton carried the ball from the half way line before finding the net.

However, just as final whistle was about to be blown, Redditch scored a consolation goal by racing through the centre of the pitch and netting, leaving the scoreline at 3-1.

Following this dominant performance against a Redditch team that play in the league above Harriers, the Ladies will play their first FA Cup match since reformation as they travel to the New Bucks Head to face AFC Telford Ladies in the Preliminary Round.
