LEE VAUGHAN says boss Neil MacFarlane continues to drive the team forward as the boys prepare for this weekend’s game with Blyth Spartans.
Harriers picked up a fine 2-0 win over Boston United last time out, a result on which Vaughan and the rest of the camp are very keen to follow up.
The experienced defender brushed aside any talk of form or positions but did concede that the Boston win helped the team continue a “good” start.
MacFarlane continues to demand more, however, and that’s something Vaughan keeps in mind.
“I said in previous interviews that if we could get a win at Boston, which we [did], it becomes a good start,” he reflected.
“We would like to have won at home with the Ashton draw, but apart from that I think we have done very well.
“The gaffer keeps asking questions of us – on Saturday it was to keep a clean sheet [at Boston], and he’ll keep driving us forward.”
On the visit of Blyth to Aggborough, Vaughan added: “We’ll be professional and we’re at home, so we’ll be looking for three points.”
