It was a tight encounter between the teams who, prior to the match, sat in second and third place respectively in the National League North.
In a quiet first half in terms of chances, Bradford had the first real chances of the game, both coming after six minutes.
Firstly, Jamie Spencer tested Brandon Hall from range before Jake Beesley saw himself played through into a dangerous position, angling his chip over Hall but wide of the far post.
Nine minutes later, Nicky Wroe rifled an effort at goal from 25 yards – drilling it just wide of the post.
Harriers slowly worked their way into the game – Ashley Chambers playing a delicious one-two with Joe Ironside on the edge of the area, the former displaying a sharp burst of speed to race into box and chip an effort just wide.
Williams, positive as always, opened up the Bradford defence after 26 – firing a shot low to Drench’s right, forcing a save.
‘Stalemate’ is a good way to describe the rest of the half, both teams solid in defence to cancel out attempted attacks.

The second half was somewhat more open, in fact, Oli Johnson almost found the net within the first minute – dancing free inside the area and flashing an effort just wide.
Additionally, before the half was ten minutes old, Vaughan and Chambers both having efforts, the latter having a header cleared from the line.
However, it was Bradford that would take the lead as the clock struck 61 – Connor Branson connecting with a free kick delivery that was knocked down by Beesley to finish past Hall.
Four minutes later, Bradford came within inches of extending their lead, Johnson striking against the base of the post from inside the box.
As the match headed into the final ten, Williams spelt his name amongst the headlines – firstly with a fine individual effort, weaving through multiple challenges before planting his shot into the back of the net.
His second would display the same dribbling ability, drifting past three challenges and finishing low via a deflection, ensuring a 2-1 victory.
