With the New Year now well and truly up and running, Harriers fans are already raising money for the club’s next chosen charity –Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

The club and its supporters have, so far this season, raised thousands of pounds for good causes and will continue to do so between now and the summer.

From January to the end of March, it’s the turn of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, which exists to raise vital funds to support the 90,000 sick kids cared for at the hospital every year.

Guided by the mission to raise the money to make a real difference to everyone who uses the hospital’s amazing services, campaigns such as the Critical Journeys Appeal has already generated millions of pounds thanks to the generosity of the public.

Harriers have already played their part, too, with Academy staff and students raising hundreds of pounds over the last couple of years alone. The club now hopes to take that one step further.

Speaking about the difference any funds raised could make to patients, Serena Daw, Public Fundraising Manager at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, commented: “It’s  so inspiring to see local groups such as Kidderminster Harriers FC take on fundraising activities for us and the club’s support for our Critical Journeys Appeal couldn’t have come at a better time, as we are so close to reaching our £2million target.

“We want to say a huge thank you for their generous support, and for taking us one step closer to ensuring critically ill young patients get to the right place, at the right time for the right treatment.”

Harriers fans are able to make donations to Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity  when purchasing match tickets online, while the Charity are also expected to be present at some upcoming fixtures to raise both funds and awareness of their work.
