Kidderminster Harriers are pleased to welcome Adam Whitley to the off-field team as Club Chaplain.
Sports Chaplaincy is becoming an ever-more constant part of the game, with around half of National League clubs now believed to offer the service.
Adam, who is based at the Jubilee International Church immediately adjacent to Aggborough Stadium, will be on hand to offer pastoral and spiritual support wherever appropriate to not only players and staff at the club, but supporters, too.
He explained: “A chaplain is there to care and support all people within the football community, whether from a faith or non-faith background, from players and other staff members to the fans and wider community.
“A chaplain is there to care and support all people… whether from a faith or non-faith background.”
“Life is full of ups and downs and sometimes you need to be able to talk to someone or offload your stress to them.
“The football club is one of the biggest communities of people in the town so it plays a significant part in the life of many generations.
“I’m really excited by this opportunity to join the club as chaplain and hope that I can be a positive addition to the wider team on and off the pitch.”
It is hoped that Adam will be based at Aggborough Stadium on most Thursdays but, irrespective of this, anyone wishing to contact him can do so via e-mail to email@example.com.
Welcome to the #PrideofWorcestershire, Adam!
