AS you may have seen, we’ll be welcoming our Harriers of Norway Fan Club to Aggborough this Saturday.
We’ve been keeping fans in touch with the group of die-hards, based in Aalesund, since their formation earlier this year, with updates on social media.
In search of a connection with football at a level below the game’s elite in this country, the Harriers of Norway keep a close eye on each of the team’s games, tuning in each week to radio commentary, and watching highlights online.
They even represented Harriers in full kit at the Supporters Cup in Oslo during the summer.
The club have been able to send match DVDs to the group, too, where the full-length games have been watched on the big screen at their specially constructed ‘Aggborough Aalesund’ – complete with terracing, replica shirts, and a drink or two!
Now, after months of supporting the club, the group are on their way to visit us, taking in the weekend visit of the Robins to Aggborough, where they’ll be able to sample all that comes with watching Harriers in person.
Keep your eyes and ears out for them and pick up a copy of the match programme for a first-hand account of their formation and what’s behind their love of the team.
