Ladies get first league win

Ladies win against Rugby…

Harriers Ladies got back to winning ways with a victory on Sunday against Rugby Town.

Following last weekend’s defeat in the league opener against Stourbridge, the Ladies looked to gain their first victory of the season at Lea Castle.

In windy conditions, Harriers took the lead through Alex Nicklin, before Sophie Richards fired in from 25 yards to double the lead.

The third and final of the half was headed in by Anne Johnson following a Nicklin corner.

Harriers controlled the game during the second period, Mia Badland firing in from outside the box superbly, before grabbing her second, and Danni Selmes firing a brace of her own to see the final score reach 7-0.

Next up for Harriers is a local derby against Cookley Sports at Lea Castle, a 2pm kick off – admission is free!
