Ladies begin 2020 with win

Another five for top-scorer Selmes against Leamington…

Harriers Ladies began their 2020 with a victory on Sunday, defeating Leamington Lions 8-0.

Travelling away to the Phillips 66 Community Stadium for their first game in a number of weeks, Harriers took less than 15 minutes to take the lead through top scorer, Danni Selmes.

Selmes would be the player to get the second of the game as well, but it took almost another 30 minutes to arrive from the penalty spot to see the half-time scoreline display as 2-0.

The second half saw Harriers find the net on another six occasions, Alex Nicklin was the first to fire home and was followed by Selmes – completing her hat-trick – and then Katie Priest and Sophie Richards.

Selmes bagged another two to see the final score sit at 8-0, and her personal league total for the season at 21.
