Alex Prosser and Ashley Chambers netted in the first period to give the visitors a commanding lead that they went on to retain until the end of a very satisfying afternoon.

Prosser fired in from close range after remaining alert as a corner was knocked down in the area on 15 minutes while, at the end of the half, Chambers added to his own personal tally – taking it to 2-0 – with a superb volley from Ashley Hemmings’ pinpoint cross.

The success ended a phenomenal run of form on home soil for King’s Lynn, who were promoted to National League North via the ‘Super Play-Off’ last term.

As part of that, the Linnets stretched an unbeaten run at the Walks to an incredible 17 months, and close to 40 matches. The fact Harriers managed to win so decisively speaks volumes about their day at the office as, in truth, the league leaders never looked like getting back in to it.

Undoubtedly, Lynn did have their spells of pressure, but with Adam Marriott and Michael Gash both firing off target in the second, it was an away win and clean sheet that was achieved without any major concern for goalkeeper Will Mannion, who nonetheless did what he had to do with a real confidence.

In fact, Harriers might well have extended their lead further, but Sam Austin and Samir Nabi spurned late chances.
