Harriers Ladies have reached the West Midlands Regional League Division One South Cup Final with a victory over Droitwich Spa.
The holders of the competition having picked up the silverware last season, this year’s semi-final at Lea Castle saw the Ladies take the lead through Kirsty Roberts after 10 minutes, a cross from Hannah Ashman sailed over the outstretched arms of the keeper and landed straight in front of Roberts who put it into the net.
Bailey-Raine Hodge doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time, a low drive from just inside the box.
Droitwich halved the deficit within minutes of the second 45 beginning, before Alex Nicklin made it 3-1.
Harriers’ opponents kept asking the defence a few questions but they weathered the storm, and close to the end, Katie Priest made it 4-1 to book her team’s place in the final where the opponents will be Stourbridge.
Next up for Harriers Ladies is the Worcestershire FA Women’s County Cup Final on Sunday 15th March against Kingfisher at Malvern Town, a 1:30pm kick off.
