Aggborough pitch undergoing extensive renovation

Extensive pitch works underway…

Harriers are excited to reveal the pitch at Aggborough is currently undergoing its most extensive renovation in many years.

The first stages of the in-depth work began this week, overseen by Head Groundsman Ade Ganderton. The renovation, which starts with the removal of the top layer of turf, is the most detailed the club has seen in since 2015.

The works will continue throughout the upcoming weeks and will have a significant impact on the quality of the surface throughout the upcoming campaign and years to come.

CEO Neil Male said: “Having a high-quality playing surface helps not only to attract players to the club, but also helps Russ and the team to put in the kind of exciting performances we’ll expect next season. They’ll be given every tool they need to succeed, and we’ll be looking to them to do that.

“This is the biggest renovation Aggborough has seen for a long time, and both Richard and I are pleased to have been able to implement it and get the ball rolling.”
