HARRIERS continue pre-season with the relatively short trip to Halesowen Town on Tuesday (7:45pm).
After defeat to Bilston in the first friendly, it’s been thrill-a-minute stuff for Russ Penn’s men, with games against Alvechurch (4-1) and Bromsgrove Sporting (4-3) yielding plenty of goals and talking points.
Up next, it’s a clash against FA Trophy semi-finalists Halesowen – the Yeltz missing out on a trip to Wembley after defeat to Concord Rangers in the final four of last season’s competition, those games played earlier this month.
The Southern League Division 1 Central side commence their league season with a home game against Yaxley on Saturday but, in addition to the Trophy match, have also already featured in the 2020/21 FA Cup, beating Newcastle Town this past Saturday.
Weaved in among those fixtures has been their ‘pre’ season programme, which has included a victory over our National League North rivals Hereford and a draw with Kettering Town.
Harriers will be without Cliff Moyo and Koby Arthur on Tuesday night as they continue their recovery from injury, but it’s hoped Sam Austin will feature after missing Saturday’s win as a precaution.
Kick-off on Tuesday night is at 7:45pm at The Grove (B63 3TB). Halesowen have now advised that supporters can pay on the gate at £5 adults and free for U12s.
As ever, full updates will be available on the club’s social media channels, with a report online at harriers.co.uk shortly after the final whistle.
