Harriers were beaten 4-0 in friendly action in what was Aggborough Stadium’s only pre-season fixture.

A fairly one-sided game saw the visitors go ahead inside nine minutes; a well-taken goal from Luke Young setting the tone for the afternoon.

The second came on 17 minutes, Amari Morgan-Smith pulled to the floor in the area by former Harrier Kwame Thomas who took credit for the ball finding the net.

Morgan-Smith did have a header on target shortly after the half-hour, before going closer four minutes later when Austin’s cross was met well, the goalkeeper forced to tip the ball over the bar with a fine stop.

Wrexham had their third just before the break when a low cross was turned in by Durrell, with Harriers going close just after the restart with Austin guiding an effort just over.

Palmer made two good saves from the lively Jeffrey before the hour, turning his shot around the post, before thwarting him from the penalty spot after the Wrexham man had been fouled in the area.

From there it was a fairly quiet end to the affair, only Wrexham’s fourth goal being of note as Yussuf picked up a spilled cross before firing into the roof of the net.
