BOSS Russ Penn wants his team’s attitude to be spot on when they head to Sporting Khalsa in the Emirates FA Cup this weekend.
Harriers meet Khalsa to determine who goes through to the Third Qualifying Round, with Saturday’s hosts already having won three FA Cup ties this season.
That run has formed part of a strong start to the season for the side – and one that has included plenty of goals, too.
Penn has seen plenty of Khalsa so far this season and knows what to expect in what’s shaping up to be a competitive and entertaining cup clash.
Speaking to our YouTube channel, the Aggborough gaffer touched on just how prolific they seem to be and insists his side will need to be on their mettle to edge past a team that left him “really impressed.”
“We’re going to go there and respect Khalsa because they’ve very competitive for the level – we went to watch them the other night and we were really impressed.

“We’ve got to go with a professional attitude and keep doing what we’re doing, and if we do that then we’ll be okay.
“They’re hard a hard-working unit with some very good individuals. They’ve scored 18 or 19 goals this season which is a great feat after eight games.
“On the flipside they’ve also conceded 17 or 18, so things that we’ve worked on this week [are] to impose our strengths on their weaknesses.
“We’ve got to go full of confidence and do a job.”
Harriers, meanwhile, will be looking to build on a solid enough start to their own League season – and respond to their only defeat so far, last weekend’s reverse at the hands of Gateshead at Aggborough.
Penn hopes to have both Nathan Cameron and Ethan Freemantle available after they missed the game against the Heed with knocks.
Mark Carrington (suspended) misses the second of three matches as part of a ban for his sending off against Guiseley.
Joe Foulkes, on loan from Walsall, has permission from the Saddlers to feature for Harriers in this season’s FA Cup.
One or both of Saturday’s teams will go into the hat for Monday lunchtime’s Third Qualifying Round draw.
Fan are reminded that they can either pay on the day on Saturday, or purchase their tickets online from the hosts.
Any replay, to be held should the scores finish level, will take place at Aggborough on Tuesday night (7:45pm).
Kick-off at Sporting Khalsa is at 3:00pm.
