HARRIERS kicked off their pre-season campaign of friendly matches with a 2-1 win at Droitwich Spa.
Fielding an entirely different XI for each half, the visitors started strongly and took the lead with just four minutes played, Ashley Hemmings playing in Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain who finished powerfully in the net.
In a lively opening third of the contest, Droitwich were level with just nine on the clock from the penalty spot as Connor Collins put the ball beyond Tom Palmer.
The hosts clipped the woodwork on 21 minutes before Harriers restored their lead, Hemmings getting in on the act on 42 minutes with a long-range finish.
In the second half, further chances came the way of Jack Lambert and Kai Lissimore who both headed wide of the target, the former then denied by a good save from the keeper in the dying moments.
Pre-season continues for Harriers at Redditch United on Friday (7:45pm)
