Supporting The FA’s Play Safe campaign…

HARRIERS are proud to support The FA’s Play Safe weekend this weekend, highlighting the vital importance of safeguarding across the game.

The Play Safe Campaign is an all-year-round focus on safeguarding in football, but it’s work is highlighted across the sport over the weekend of 28th and 29th September specifically.

Sue Ravenlaw, The FA Head of Safeguarding said: “The central push behind this year’s Play Safe weekend is to create awareness among individuals of the vital safeguarding role they can play in football. It really is about Everyone Everywhere, Every Time.”

“Play Safe weekend is a fantastic way of raising the awareness of safeguarding and putting this at the forefront of people’s minds, not just for this weekend, but throughout the season. This year, we’re asking everyone to know their role in safeguarding and we look forward to seeing clubs at every level of the game showing their support across the weekend, to make sure football is safe, fun, and enjoyable for all.”

Anyone looking for full details on Play Safe itself can find more via the England Football website.

The club has recently revised and published its new Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct for Parents, Guardians and Carers, which supporters can review.

The Club’s Safeguarding Officer is Kevin Bunn, who can be contacted via e-mail at kevin.bunn@harriers.co.uk or via a dedicated phone number, 07576 296011. Anyone with any safeguarding or welfare concerns is urged to get in touch.
