Farewell to the one and only….

Captain Crazy, Roger Harris. Pic (C) KHFC

Harriers are saddened to hear of the recent passing of Roger Harris, better known to a generation of fans as Captain Crazy.

The Captain was Aggborough Stadium’s announcer for many years, notably in the 1990s. He was known for his incomparable delivery style and humour.

Today (Friday, 27th)  would’ve been his 80th birthday.

Roger also served our local rivals Worcester in a similar role for many years, after leaving DY10. He was a well-known local personality as well as an accomplished DJ.

Our thoughts and best wishes are with his friends and loved ones.

Thank you for the many memories, Captain!
