A huge final couple of games for Harriers as the season’s end closes in…

HARRIERS Women are taking their quest to snare the WMRWFL Premier League title down to the final couple of games of the season.

The Reds and Lye have been locked in a two-way battle for the championship for virtually the entire season, each having spent time at the summit.

Right now, it’s Lye in pole position as they lead Harriers by a single point.

Andy Fisher’s side know, however, that victory in their remaining two games of the season will guarantee them the title, given Lye have just one left to play.

Mathematically, the title would even go Harriers’ way should they better Lye’s result this weekend, but the Aggborough girls will be taking nothing for granted as they prepare for their next clash at home to Shifnal on Sunday.

Beyond that, they’ll face Knowle a week later (Sun 18th) as the chase for glory goes down to the wire.

Harriers already secured some silverware recently with a resounding triumph in the WFA Sunday Cup Final.

The Shifnal match takes place at Stourport High School (DY13 8AX) with kick off at 2pm. Admission is £3 adults and £1 concessions – please head down and show Harriers your support.
