A look back at Saturday’s National League North encounter

THE National League North match between Harriers and Radcliffe was abandoned with the score at 1-1 on Saturday.
Radcliffe had taken the lead from the penalty spot in controversial circumstances after an excellent save from Christian Dibble was wrongly called as a handball by Owen Evans on the line. Rio Clegg stepped up and scored from 12 yards.
Harriers equalised before the break as Owen Evans slammed home after Reece Devine had hit the post off a Seb Thompson cross, and took full control of the game.
On 70 minutes, Dibble came and punched the ball at a free kick and clashed heads with Joe Foulkes, both players left unconscious as a result of the impact.
The match referee abandoned the game after around ten minutes of treatment to the players – both later regained consciousness before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
No further information is available at this time, but the club would like to place on record its thanks and appreciation not only to its own medical staff but also that of Radcliffe FC for their fantastic support and response.
