Tuesday: Moors v Harriers

All eyes on Tuesday’s clash…

ADAM Murray wants Harriers out of their comfort zone when the Reds travel to Spennymoor Town on Tuesday night.

The Reds will need to bounce back from a frustrating 3-2 defeat at Oxford City on Saturday, having twice taken the lead there.

The quest for National League North points in the play-off race gets no easier – the in-form Moors have won four of their last five and are making a late charge of their own for the shake-up.

The two teams meet at Brewery Field, and Murray is eager to see standards back at established levels.

“Every game’s important,” he said following the weekend defeat.

“I don’t think one game’s more important than any other at this point in the season. My thing is,  don’t drop the standards that we’ve set, because if [we’d won] here today, Tuesday’s still really important.

“We’re going for a promotion, so you’ve got to win every game, but more importantly, you’ve got to keep performance levels where they need to be.

“We can’t allow standards to drop like that. We were unbelievable [at Darlington] and, in a couple of days, you can’t turn up and go through the motions like that.”

Harriers still remain well placed in the top seven, but the boss is taking nothing at all for granted with so much still up in the air.

As such, he wants everyone involved to take Saturday “as a warning” that much work still needs to be done.

He added: “I hate this part of the season because the sun’s out.

“You see people’s mindset. People can go into that comfort zone. People think, oh, we’re in a really good position and we’ve done that. We’ve done nothing.

“We’re not good enough to turn up at six and seven out of ten. We’ll get our backside felt. And I hope everybody takes that as a warning… because nothing is done.

“This league changes overnight. And if you think you can just turn up and go through the motions and you’re going to win, you’ll get found out.”

Kick-off at Spennymoor on Tuesday night is at 7:45pm.

Harriers fans travelling to the game can purchase tickets online in advance or on the night.

SUPPORTER CONDUCT

We would like to reinforce our message on supporter conduct

Supporters currently subject to a banning order from Aggborough Stadium should be aware that host clubs may choose to extend this ban to their own premises. In that instance, fans should not attempt to purchase a ticket and/or enter on the day as they will be denied entry.

Harriers again strongly supports The National League and Football Association in delivering their antisocial conduct message.

Please review the following information before visiting Aggborough or following the team on the road, and remember that your entry into Aggborough Stadium, or any other venue, is subject to the acceptance of the National League’s Ground regulations and adherence to the Smoke No Joke policy. Both documents are clearly visible and available on entry turnstiles but are also available for download below.

Specifically, we would like to remind supporters that the club will not tolerate supporter misconduct of any kind. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Discriminatory behaviour. This means conduct or language that is aggravated by ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, faith, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation or disability.
  • Entering the field of play or its immediate surrounding area without permission
  • The throwing of missiles towards the pitch, technical area or dugout
  • The possession or use of pyrotechnics such as flares or smoke bombs

Please support Kidderminster Harriers responsibility. Should you be concerned by any of the above conduct you may witness, please report it to your nearest steward at any venue, to the Club Office or Safety Officer or by e-mail to security@harriers.co.uk
